These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the House of Skoria website and all services provided by House of Skoria. By accessing our website, placing an order, or submitting an item for service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy.
For the purposes of these Terms & Conditions:
"Customer" means any individual, company, partnership or other legal entity that books or uses the services of House of Skoria.
"House of Skoria", "we", "our" or "us" means House of Skoria and its authorised representatives.
"Item" means any product, article or accessory entrusted to House of Skoria for inspection, preservation, restoration, cleaning, recolouring, repair, customisation, personalisation or any related service.
"Services" means all preservation, restoration, cleaning, repair, recolouring, customisation, personalisation, inspection, assessment, logistics and related services offered by House of Skoria.
1. Our Services
House of Skoria provides professional preservation, restoration, cleaning, recolouring, repair, customisation, personalisation, and care services for luxury and premium products, including but not limited to:
Luxury handbags
Leather goods
Sneakers
Luggage
Footwear
Furniture
Automotive interiors
Fashion accessories
Selected premium lifestyle products
Services offered may vary depending upon the material, age, condition, and suitability of each item.
House of Skoria reserves the right to refuse any service request where, in its professional opinion, the requested work is technically impractical, unsafe, unlawful, or likely to cause further deterioration to the item.
2. Customer Responsibilities
By submitting an item for service, the customer represents and warrants that:
they are the lawful owner of the item or have full authority to authorise the requested services;
all information provided regarding the item is complete and accurate;
the item has been checked for cash, jewellery, documents, electronic devices, authentication cards, accessories, and any other valuables before submission.
House of Skoria shall not be responsible for the loss of any valuables or personal belongings left inside submitted items.
Customers are responsible for informing House of Skoria of any special characteristics, previous repairs, treatments, or known defects that may affect the restoration process.
2.1 Authenticity & Ownership
The Customer represents and warrants that they are the lawful owner of the Item, or have full legal authority from the owner to authorise the Services.
House of Skoria reserves the right to refuse service where there is reasonable suspicion that an Item is counterfeit, stolen, unlawfully obtained, or where ownership cannot be reasonably established.
Where required by law, House of Skoria may report such matters to the appropriate authorities.
3. Inspection, Assessment & Quotations
Initial quotations provided through photographs, online submissions, telephone conversations, messaging platforms, or email are indicative only.
Every item shall undergo a detailed physical inspection upon receipt.
Following inspection, House of Skoria may:
confirm the original quotation;
revise the quotation;
recommend alternative restoration solutions; or
decline the service if restoration is not considered technically feasible or commercially appropriate.
No additional chargeable work shall be undertaken without obtaining the customer's approval.
3.1 Inspection Fee
Where, following a detailed physical inspection, House of Skoria identifies deterioration, hidden defects, previous repairs, structural weaknesses or other conditions materially different from those disclosed during the preliminary assessment, House of Skoria reserves the right to issue a revised quotation.
If the Customer elects not to proceed after receiving the revised quotation, House of Skoria may charge a previously disclosed inspection fee to cover the costs of collection, inspection, documentation, administration and return logistics.
Where the Customer proceeds with the revised quotation, any inspection fee paid shall be adjusted against the final invoice.
4. Pricing & Payment
Service charges are determined based on factors including:
the condition of the item;
material composition;
restoration complexity;
labour involved;
specialist products and materials required; and
replacement components, where applicable.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, full payment must be made before collection or dispatch of the completed item.
House of Skoria reserves the right to revise its pricing structure at any time. Such revisions shall not affect quotations that have already been approved by the customer.
Unless otherwise expressly stated in writing, all prices quoted by House of Skoria are exclusive of applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST) and any other taxes, duties or statutory levies imposed under applicable law.
Applicable taxes shall be charged separately on the final invoice.
5. Turnaround Time
Estimated completion timelines are provided in good faith and are intended only as an indication.
Actual turnaround times may vary due to:
the complexity of restoration;
availability of specialist materials or replacement components;
additional work identified during restoration;
logistics delays; or
circumstances beyond House of Skoria's reasonable control.
Accordingly, estimated completion dates shall not constitute a contractual guarantee.
6. Service Limitations
Restoration is intended to preserve, enhance, and extend the life of an item. It is not a manufacturing or replacement service.
Accordingly, House of Skoria does not guarantee:
complete removal of all stains, odours, scratches, or imperfections;
restoration to factory-new condition;
exact colour matching;
replacement of discontinued materials or fittings;
identical texture, finish, or grain after restoration.
Natural characteristics of leather and other materials, including wrinkles, grain variations, scars, veins, markings, texture differences, and ageing characteristics, may become more visible following restoration and shall not be regarded as defects.
7. Quality Assurance
Every item entrusted to House of Skoria is handled by trained artisans using premium products, specialised restoration techniques, and industry-approved processes.
Restoration outcomes depend upon numerous factors, including:
age of the item;
existing deterioration;
previous repairs or alterations;
hidden structural defects;
material composition; and
manufacturing limitations.
While every reasonable effort is made to achieve the highest possible standard of restoration, House of Skoria does not warrant or guarantee restoration to the item's original factory condition or appearance.
8. Photographic Records
House of Skoria reserves the right to photograph or video record all items before, during, and after restoration for the purposes of:
quality assurance;
internal documentation;
staff training;
insurance;
dispute resolution;
customer communication.
Photographs and videos may also be used for marketing, educational, promotional, and portfolio purposes, provided that any personally identifiable information is removed or concealed wherever reasonably possible.
Customers who do not wish their items to be used for marketing or promotional purposes must notify House of Skoria in writing before the commencement of services. Such a request shall not affect House of Skoria's right to retain photographs and videos for internal documentation, insurance, legal compliance, or quality assurance purposes.
9. Collection & Delivery
Customers are requested to inspect their items immediately upon collection or delivery.
Risk in the item shall pass to the customer upon delivery or collection.
Delivery timelines provided by third-party logistics providers are estimates only. House of Skoria shall not be responsible for delays caused by logistics providers or events beyond its reasonable control.
10. Limitation of Liability
House of Skoria shall not be liable for:
natural wear and tear;
age-related deterioration;
fading, oxidation, or colour variation;
hidden or latent defects;
weakened materials that fail during standard restoration procedures;
manufacturer defects;
deterioration resulting from previous repairs or treatments;
damage arising from improper storage, misuse, accidents, environmental exposure, or normal use after the item has been returned.
Where liability is established and is directly attributable to the negligence of House of Skoria, the maximum liability shall be limited to three (3) times the service charges paid for the affected item.
Under no circumstances shall House of Skoria be liable for the original purchase price of the item or for any indirect, consequential, incidental, exemplary, punitive, sentimental, or special damages.
11. Unclaimed Items
Customers are requested to collect completed items or accept scheduled delivery within 30 days of notification that the service has been completed.
Items remaining unclaimed for more than 90 days after notification shall be deemed abandoned.
House of Skoria reserves the right to dispose of, recycle, donate, or otherwise deal with such items at its sole discretion and without further notice or liability.
12. Personalisation & Bespoke Services
Custom artwork, monograms, hand-painting, engraving, bespoke finishes, and other personalised services are created strictly in accordance with customer-approved specifications.
Minor variations resulting from handcrafted work are an inherent characteristic of bespoke craftsmanship and shall not constitute defects.
Personalised services are governed by the House of Skoria Refund & Cancellation Policy.
13. Refunds, Cancellations & Rework
Refunds, cancellations, and rework requests are governed exclusively by the House of Skoria Refund & Cancellation Policy available on our website.
By placing an order, the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by that policy.
13.1 Electronic Acceptance
The Customer agrees that approval, consent or acceptance communicated through the House of Skoria website, email, WhatsApp, SMS, electronic signature, payment confirmation or any other electronic means shall constitute valid and legally binding acceptance of:
quotations;
revised quotations;
additional work;
these Terms & Conditions;
the Refund & Cancellation Policy;
the Shipping & Delivery Policy; and
any other applicable policies published by House of Skoria.
Such electronic acceptance shall have the same legal effect as a handwritten signature.
14. Intellectual Property
All content available on the House of Skoria website, including but not limited to text, graphics, photographs, videos, artwork, logos, trademarks, service marks, branding, designs, and other intellectual property, is owned by or licensed to House of Skoria.
No content may be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified, published, transmitted, or commercially exploited without the prior written consent of House of Skoria.
15. Privacy
House of Skoria respects the privacy of its customers.
Personal information is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and shall only be used for:
processing orders;
customer communication;
payment processing;
logistics coordination;
service updates;
legal and regulatory compliance.
Information shall not be sold or disclosed to third parties except where required by law or where necessary for the provision of our services.
16. Force Majeure
House of Skoria shall not be liable for any delay or failure in performing its obligations where such delay or failure results from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, floods, fires, pandemics, epidemics, strikes, labour disputes, governmental actions, transportation disruptions, power failures, cyber incidents, supply chain shortages, war, civil unrest, or other force majeure events.
16.1 No Waiver
Any failure or delay by House of Skoria in exercising any right or remedy under these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or remedy, nor shall any single or partial exercise of any right prevent any further exercise of that or any other right.
16.2 Entire Agreement
These Terms & Conditions, together with the Refund & Cancellation Policy, Shipping & Delivery Policy, Privacy Policy, Assessment Policy (where applicable), approved quotation, work order and any written approvals issued by House of Skoria, constitute the entire agreement between the Customer and House of Skoria.
They supersede all previous discussions, negotiations, representations, communications and understandings relating to the Services, whether oral or written.
No statement, representation or promise made by any employee, representative or agent of House of Skoria shall modify these Terms unless expressly confirmed in writing by House of Skoria.
16.3 Severability
If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is held by a court or other competent authority to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, such provision shall be deemed severed from these Terms to the extent necessary.
The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect and shall not be affected by such invalidity or unenforceability.
17. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the services provided by House of Skoria shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at New Delhi, India.
18. Amendments
House of Skoria reserves the right to amend or update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
Any revised Terms shall become effective immediately upon publication on the House of Skoria website unless otherwise stated.
Continued use of our website or services after such publication shall constitute acceptance of the revised Terms.
